HOW DECISIONS GET MADE

One UK board, one accountable chain

Mushunga is governed by a UK board of trustees, meeting quarterly by video with an in-person meeting each year. Trustees bring legal, financial, safeguarding, operational and programmatic expertise around one table.

Every partnership above a defined threshold is signed off at trustee level. Between meetings, day-to-day operations in Ibanda are led by our long-standing country team, reporting into the UK trustees under a written delegation of authority.

Because trustees are unpaid volunteers with independent professional backgrounds, the board provides genuine challenge and oversight — not a rubber stamp on decisions made elsewhere. Full trustee biographies and a register of interests are available on request.
