OUR SCHOOL
Growing one grade at a time
Victorious Community School (VCS) is the educational heart of Mushunga Community Project — a place where orphaned and vulnerable children find not just a classroom, but a future.

We currently run from kindergarten through Grade 5, in line with Uganda's Ministry of Education and Sports. Each year a new grade is added as our capacity grows, with the vision of reaching the full Grade 7 elementary curriculum.

Our head teacher, Jockus, leads a growing team of trained Ugandan teachers who teach, mentor, and care for every child as their own.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
A complete learning environment
Every child at VCS receives the full set of tools, care, and infrastructure needed to thrive in school and beyond.
Trained teachers
New teachers recruited as grades expand, led by head teacher Jockus.
Books & supplies
Textbooks, learning materials and uniforms for every sponsored child.
Daily meals
Nutritious meals served every school day, fueling focus and growth

Built to accommodate growing student numbers and a richer curriculum.
Girls' facilities
A dedicated toilet block and shower area improving dignity and hygiene.
Evening study

Boarding section
Safe lodging for children from high-risk environments to stay engaged in school.
BOARDING SECTION
Keeping vulnerable children in school — full time
VCS continues to perform well, but the lack of adequate boarding facilities remains a major challenge. To improve the living conditions of boarding students and ensure they are accommodated with comfort and dignity, there is a pressing need for additional dormitory beds.

The boarding section directly addresses one of the most heart-breaking issues in rural Uganda: high school drop-out rates and early childhood pregnancies that can arise when girls are left unsupervised in the community. By keeping children — especially girls — fully engaged in school life under trained, caring teachers, we are protecting their futures.
